Well, this is one of the more absurd threads I've come across.

You are the only Nintendo fan that I recall stating that Mario Kart 8 is graphically disappointing, and far, far from "many" Nintendo fans suddenly think that art style comes second to graphics. If what you are saying were true, there would be more people like you who compared Mario Kart 8 to titles like Drive Club and then used the comparison's results as an argument for why Nintendo should focus less on art style and more on graphics. Yet here we are, and no such threads can be found while your thread is the only one to ever do this comparison.

A few hypocritical forum users that you've come across won't change this, and is never a good basis to judge an entire fan base on.

Where have i said Nintendo need to focus less on art style and more on graphics? I'm simply disappointing they haven't tried to excel in both. My mention of other members was that i was told i was wrong for believing MK8 wasn't pushing the WiiU at 720p/60fps, yet some of those same users were perfectly accepting that MK8 could now be 1080p/60fps (which resource wise is like running the game twice, contradicting their first statement that i was wrong).

BenVTrigger put it well "A game can be 4k with insane texture quality and still be highly stylized. There is no negative result of higher fidelity graphics."

I'm well aware that you never said Nintendo needs to shift focus, though I can see why you'd think that given how I worded my sentence.

But my point still stands: You are one of the more prominent examples of a Nintendo fan that cares about graphics. You may not value it above art style, but you do care which is evident by the fact that you refer to Mario Kart 8's graphics as "disappointing". This puts you closer to your own perception of the new average Nintendo fan than the actual average Nintendo fan.
