I mainly just like the way it looks lol. Edit: When you're plaing Infamous it also goes from white to progressively more blue or more red depending on whether you act good or evil. Until you pick up a torch in tomb raider and it becomes a seizure beam!
It flashes between yellow and red really fast. They thought that would be a good idea and not distracting and annoying. That thing kills eppileptics in a 50m radius!
