Honestly, I had trouble reading your previous post. Anyway, isn't the first Metroid game (or the remake Zero Mission) Samus's first mission? So any Metroid game that takes place before that would have to cut Samus out.

On a sidenote, I am happy to see that the moderators are stepping their game up. Considering Other M's plot canon is unacceptable.

Nope, it's not. As Crazy Man linked above, she was a very well established bounty hunter before Zero Mission. That's why the Federation chose her in the first place.
