I at the very least don't need it. The story was perfectly self contained and it's always difficult to try and build upon a such a story without fucking it up. I don't want a FF X/X-2 scenario with TLOU.
But I do like that concept art.

I don't get why people keep saying they don't want a sequel cause the ending for the first one was decisive. The outbreak is still rampent and Joel and Ellie are still in danger. I think a good start to the next game would be Joel and Ellie living in Joel's brother's town then the town is attacked by the fireflies or some other people looking for a cure and try to take Ellie.

20 years later, Joel is dead. They had a baby that has been stolen by the Fireflies. Ellie has to rescue her child.

Joel and Ellie have more of a father/daughter relationship, I don't think they are gonna have a kid.

You're right about the relationship but it's the end of the world and she cares about him the most. Unlikely she finds anyone who can live up to him. Also a way for her to hold on to him longer. When she's 22 it would make Joel early 50's. No worse than what men in Hollywood do on a daily basis and it's not even the end of the world. I guess I just don't want the story to arc beyond Joel/Ellie.

I guess it makes sense, but after the first game spent 15 hours building a father and daughter relationship... that would be disturbing.
