Oh yeah, the DLC stuff. While I'm not tooo big on DLC, there's been some stuff I've enjoyed in the past (e.g. Fire Emblem Awakening, though I love everything Fire Emblem regardless of what it is, so...) and I absolutely hate to miss out on stuff like that. Though a retail copy will always be worth more to me. I'd rather buy the game twice and get the DLC for my second copy than not having a physical one.

But, you know, that's why my favourite handhelds to this day are the GBA/DS (OG and lite only), since those are truly region free. Regardless of what game I buy and from what region it is, I'll just pop it in and it works like a charm. And since there's no DLC or digital distribution or anything... Well, you know.
It's all the more bitter to see Nintendo as the only company left pulling through with region lock, and I applaud Sony for almost completely abandoning it (and Microsoft, too, after the Nightmare that was the 360 when it comes to importing. You have to keep a list of what works and what doesn't and it's really annoying).

Considering all that, I can cope with not being able to use DLC. It's annoying, yeah, because the stuff is basically right in front of you and you just can't grab it, as if it was teasing you, but one can't have everything, I suppose.
