Diablo 2, Guild Wars, World of Warcraft, etc... RPG's are not non-competitive by nature, but by design. There's plenty of action/RPGs and MMORPGs to test skills.
It's harder to see how good you are through single-player RPG's, but there are some points you need to have to be called a good RPG player:
- Dot not become indecisive when making a choice ingame- Someone who can't choose a path to play and stick with it is not good at RPGs. They're the type of people that get overwhelmed by 'sandbox' RPGs or RPGs where there's alot of freedom (mainly western RPGs). This is common when a light-RPG fan starts playing a real RPG.
- Do not have Level grinding as main tactics- Anyone who uses Level grinding as the main tactics is a dumbass. 'nuff said. Level grinding should only be used as last resort.
- Do not use walkthroughs... unless you're trying to get boring grind shit such as gems scattered around in the game, or you're stuck on a boss you tried so much to kill.
