Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was a fully-realized version on Wii U, and didn't really do anything sales wise. I've heard many people say the Wii U version was arguably superior to the others, if not at least equal. And I have the game, so I know that it was really well done on Wii U. Still sold poorly though. People buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo's games...and at that time, people were buying NSMBU.

"Fully-realized"? So it got all of the DLC? Including Nuketown, which Activision gave away to other systems for free, and which was supposed to be included in the "100% identical to the other versions" promise that Activision had made? And it had full access to CoD: Elite alongside the other versions? And the LiveStream functionality? And it was fully supported after launch with extensive and prompt bugfixes? And it was fully advertised alongside the other versions (and not completely ignored in their advertising)?

Yes, this is clearly the fault of Nintendo fans, and not the continuation of a pattern of publishers treating Nintendo system owners like second-class citizens, and then blaming those consumers when their products don't sell as well, rather than looking at their own decisions as the obvious problem.

 

EDIT: Anyway, I'm certain it'll be coming to Wii U as well. This is just another round on the Activision merry-go-round of ignoring the Wii U version in all of their advertising, etc. Watch as Activision refuses to respond to requests for comment on the issue, rather than either confirming or denying the existence of a Wii U version, despite the fact that doing either one would show Wii U owners more respect than Activision has done to any Nintendo platform owner in the last 8 years or so.

Oh, I totally agree that most third-party publishers treat Nintendo systems, ports, and gamers like garbage. And yeah, the post-launch stuff was disappointing. But my point was that the "core" of the game itself was not a "crappy-port" in my opinion. It was a well-done port worth playing. As for the sales, yeah the advertising and treatment of the other publishers definitely hurts things...probably more than any other factor, but Nintendo's lack of third-party advertising and the high quality of their own software (ironically) does contribute, I think, to the poor performance of third-party games on Nintendo systems. 

Also, to the OP, I agree with everybody pointing out that Ghosts and others weren't announced for Wii U at first, but later were confirmed for it. Hopefully that will be the case here.
