I've never felt compelled to justify my purchases to anyone, but if I did, it wouldn't be with any of those excuses.

It'd be more like, "I bought my PS4 because over the last six-seven years Sony just kicked ass with their exclusive games, providing the best games covering the widest variety of genres in new IP and old IP alike, not to mention the best Japanese support, and I know that the PS4 will go on to do the same for the next six years - not to mention having better third party support than the other two consoles."

When I buy a Wii U, my reason will be "because even though most of Nintendo's games feel like games I played ages ago, sometimes I quite like an old-school Nintendo experience like Mario, Zelda, Smash or Mario Kart."

I'll never buy an Xbox One, but if I did, my reason would probably be, "I like Halo, Gears, Fable and Forza," but I don't, so I won't.
