You also have to consider with so many jumping back on to PS this gen, and the slowing sales of the One, what's going to happen to that Live money once they stop supporting the servers for 360 games? 360 owners will have no reason to pay for Live, anymore. So, that Live revenue is going to drop significantly this gen, both in subs AND game sales.

I think you have that backwords.
Companies shut down servers because their games don't sell anymore and aren't bringing in any new money. Not just because it's old.
The servers will scale to the number of 360 subscribers they have, not the other way around.
As long as there are people paying for Xbox live on 360. They will keep 360 servers up.
Servers are really cheap.

And yet, this gen we have seen servers turned off on games that were only 1-2 years old, either to make room for newer games and/or make gamers move onto the newer games. MS did it with OG Xbox servers, so it will happen on the 360, too. And I'm sure Sony will eventually do it for PS3, as well. I'm not saying it's going to happen next year, but it WILL happen.

What does Sony shutting down servers of 1-2 year old games have to do with MS shutting down OG Xbox servers back in 2010 when the 360 doubled Xbox sales?
