I'm hearing conflicting reports on this, and haven't seen any reliable source confirming it either way. This probably means that if the 360 is losing or making money, it's a very small amount (i.e. close to break even point).

i remember an article about this last week i'll look it up and post it... what you are hearing are fans saying that its making a profit you never once heard microsoft say that..... people just assume since ps3 is losing money that the360 is making money.. its time to inform people of the truth

Well, as far as I remember it was not just fans saying so, also some news websites. I'm not saying those are reliable enough, as you can see in my original post, but "it's time to inform people of the truth" sounds a bit pretentious unless you have a really good source. I hope you do have one, because I'm curious about this issue.
