It's taken Sony years to start downsizing or selling off departments that were making heavy losses.  Why would they sell one of thier best divisions that makes profit?

 

 

And that is why (at the least) spinning off Playstation would make sense. Save the brand and let it sink or swim on it's own, or just let it sink with the rest of the company?
