The downloadable demos are from 4.0 and also lack many of the effects the newer builds have. I downloaded them to check and they are extremely limited compared to the full scale engine demos.

That being said they arent bad to download to just stress test your system but dont expect the same level of detail


Dam i was hoping the elemental demo would be closer to the older version.

Also i didnt know there was a difference between the two. Looks like il try and purchase it if i can.

Probably need to get a new gpu too...although my 560ti hasnt really been stressed for a long time in real gameplay scenarios considering that im happy to be gaming at 1080p 30 FPS. But yeah should still get a new one just for the fun of it!

Its still cool to download them to get an idea of how your rig will run UE4 but yeah its missing a lot of features. You cant customize the settings at all and its just the guided video. Its all rendered real time but its not interactive. In the actual Engine demo you can adjust everything on the fly such as lighting and can move through the environment in real time.
