With pure kinect like motion controls I agree.
I'm referring to motion controls of the controllers.
In the case of the WiiU gamepad, it's large enough to simulate the feeling of having your hands behind the wheel. For other controllers, I think the controllers are too small IMO. Your wrists are not far enough apart to trick your brain in some way into thinking you're holding a steering wheel -- though the DS4 feels solid enough to do just about anything if you ask me.
For VR's sake, traditional analog stick controls might tricky (since the controller is out of your peripheral vison) and having the sensation of a steering wheel in your hands is more immersive. However, DS4 motion control may offer a suitable substitute for those who don't have a full racing wheel in their budget.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
