It's easy to see why it's impossible,  you have 2 huge mario games on wiiu, 2d mario sold over 22 million copies, you have bundles with mario games on the box, I don't see how mario kart 8 is gonna change the wiiu situation. It will cause a small boost but that's about it. We're talking about a console that way behind the game cube in sales.
