Final Fantasy XII had great exploration also I think. It allowed you to go to any high level area you wanted to and get your ass handed back to you royally. If I remember correctly, I believe Far Cry had a lot of exploration. I haven't played it yet but I believe Animal Crossing has lots of exploration too. Elder Scrolls IV also.

@ PDF & COOL I will try them both. I found a demo for the myst game. I think I have tomb raider just never played it.

@TWRoO I still want battles and stuff ES is good , but it is all exploration and nothing else.
