You do realise that it is humans, and not finance-programmed automatons, running the companies, right? That the management of a company is capable of having a bias that influences what they believe to be the best way to make money? That a CEO's personal (that is, non-business) opinion of Nintendo's actions and activities will influence their decisions?
I think that the idea that CEOs are infallible money-making machines is the utterly unrealistic belief.
