Tell me what was so awful about Ghosts without mentioning previous instalments. I bet you can't do it!

-Horrendously bad maps - Stonehaven, Chasm, Siege, Overlord, Free fall. Maps are mostly too big with no flow whatsoever.
-Gun balance is completely off. Assault rifles outclass everything else in the game. Recent patch has made some SMGs a little better, but most other classes are obsolete. MP is dominated by AK12, Mtar and Remington.
-Most killstreaks are lacking both in number and inspiration - Vulture, assault jugg, Loki and most high end streaks are not rewarding at all.
-IEDs - nuff said.
-I won't bother bringing SP into this since unlike others I understand COD is a MP game. But if I were to comment about SP, it would be one you already have heard before.
I played and enjoyed all COD since COD4, but Ghosts is just a bad COD in its own right without bringing any other previous entires. That is why I'm looking forward to this year's COD since it SH had 3 years to develop it and they have been rather engaged with the community from what I hear.

Black Ops forward started to suck because of the horrendous peer hosted lag compensation system they used. Titanfall gives me hope. 90% of the matches I've played in that game have felt fair in terms of lag. I got so sick of being INSTAkilled and rubberbanded in COD MW3, Ghosts, etc...
True dedicated servers to the next COD, else they can suck it.

That rubber banding BS started from Black Ops. In fact I used to call it "Getting Treyarched" whenever I got shot around the corner. MW2 had absolutely beautiful hit detection and lag was a minor issue, but MW3 was just a nightmare in terms of connectivity.
I think Ghosts was a step in the right direction in terms of putting dedis in, but it seems there was some shady stuff going on behind the back about whether dedis are always present. Although the rubber banding is less, that's a lot to do with the engine itself that causes the rubber banding effect rather than just P2P or dedis. So hopefully this year's COD can really improve upon the connectivity given it has had a longer than normal dev time.
