Sony finally putting their money to good use

This will be interesting to watch play out. Barbie still has quite a fan-base but I'm not sure if that will translate to live-action. We used to rent the hell out of Barbie animated films, even though they were horribly made. It's possible this could be a success, I'm just not sure who the audience will be.
