I can sympathize with the third parties. Nintendo platforms are extremely unique experiences at this point and if a developer wants to develop for them they have to do one of two things. Either make the games they are famous for on the Nintendo system and hope that it sells or make a game that satisfies one of the many niches that Nintendo has hobbled together and hope that it can break enough boundaries.

Examples of the first would be things like Mass Effect, Rayman, etc People have various problems with these titles being released on the Nintendo system. In this case its more the customer bias which is screwing us up because they think Nintendo's system is the weakest and therefore will have the worst version of those games.

Examples of the second would be Zak and Wiki, Zumba Fitness, Raving Rabbids, Sonic and Mario at the olympics, The Resident Evil Light Gun games, and etc. The problem here is that its highly experimental. Unless Nintendo has a large customer base, third parties would rather not play around with it. This is also why I think Nintendo should be the console we are all rooting for. If Nintendo is popular then these crazy games will keep getting made and developers will continue experimenting with new ideas.
