Will Scotland be an independent country?

I thought Scotland joined the union in return for being bailed out of the debt from an expensive attempt to colonise part of the Americas.

Personally I hope Scotland remains part of the UK. But some pros would be that unpopular policies couldn't be shoehorned in by MPs whose constituencies said unpopular policies do not affect.

There is certainly scope for reform although if Scotland do vote to go it alone it needs to be a full on separation. None of this picking and choosing good bits while jettisoning the bad.
