Because Final Fantasy is the very definition of a massive pile of turd.

Once upon a time Final Fantasy was Godly. The series was amazing.

Since 9 FF has been downhill. 10 was still ok. 11 terrible, 12 diabolicle and 13 is not even worth wasting my saliva over. Final Fantasy needs to go into the ground and never come back up.

Well, that's just like.....your opinion, man. 9 was great (first RPG, period, I ever played. And I loved it). FFX was so good that they made a direct sequel to it, something unprecedented at the time. Obviously it was more than "still ok". I never played 11 so I don't have an opinion on it, but you're an Xbox guy, and looking at how the game was received, FFXI had its undoubtedly worst version, by far, on the 360 so that may contribute to why you hated it. Because it's, otherwise, considered a good game. Especially since it was SEs first foray into the MMO genre. 12 wasn't diabolical. It added all kinds of new mechanics and a new battle system (that didn't suck).

Of the games you mentioned, the only one with a legitimate gripe should be 13. But that, admittedly, could be called a cash grab as it went multiplatform and then had 2 sequels to try and bring in as much money as possible (since SEs money situation ain't looking too good). The fanboy in me wants to say that's the Xbox's fault, and had they only focused one system (the PS3) like they originally planned, the games quality wouldn't have been compromised. That's all speculation, but the first time an FF went multi, it was a late port to the Xbox and was received poorly (XI) and the second time it went multi, while not poorly received, critically, there were lots of complaints and the two sequels got worse and worse. Then FFXIV comes around and is console exclusive and bam.....quality returned. Every exclusive FF consistently had quality, even the spin offs.

FF's problems started with Square after FF9. Hironobu Sakaguchi was fighting for his creation Final fantasy, and wasnt happy with FF10 and its direction. FF10 began the decline of adventuring. FF's problem in the last 13 years is no direction. Hironobu relluctantly left Square and his creation that is Final Fantasy. e was directly involved in all the great Final Fantasys. I have played every single FF game on its original platfform ( not the PS remakes ) Nes, Snes, PS1, Ps2, 360.

The PS2 and 360 games are rubbish in  comparison to Nes, Snes and PS1.

Xbox had nothing to do with it. The people left with making FF games after HS left has everything to do with it. Not to mention the orchestral genius Nobuo Uematsu also left with Hironobu.

Ye thats your opinion, I love XIII, think X is one of the best FFs and XII I dont realy like much but its fun. And the new version of FF XIV is actualy awesome, if it werent an MMO Id be playing it to no end but since I already play WoW and you cant realy fit 2 MMOs in your life and still live I had to stop playin FFXIV.

FFXIVs playerbase is hughe and the game is liked by critics and fans alike, the reason its not regarded as a big exclusive like Titanfall is simply because it was already out for 6 months on other plataforms prior to the PS4s release.

About Sakaguchi, the last FF he direct was VII, after that he was an executive producer he didnt have that much imput anymore and yet VIII-X are wildly aclaimmed FFs, and Uematsu is probably the greatest  videogame composer of all time but Hamauzus soundtrack for X and XIII are brilliant.
