Actually I think it sell too little WW, it deserves a lot more sales in my opinion. :(

But as someone said, comparing it to attach rate, the games do about the same compared to the west. But, it is clear that the game is not one of the most popular in Japan, that's for sure. A popular game there can outsell a game in the west, with extreme attach rates, and Zelda does not have this.

But if I would be to put my point of view on things, why the Zelda franchise is not more popular in Japan(Asia), could be that it is becoming more and more westernized. To me it feels more and more like a mix between Asian and European culture, and in Twilight Princess you even had that "cowboy" thing in the game, so it felt more targeted to Americans than other titles.

But most of the titles are very European inspired, with a medieval theme over it. Castles, princess, sword and shield. You are not exactly a Samurai, if you get my point. :P

But then again, what about Mario. He's Italian(?) and here once again you have castle, princess and stuff. Not exactly Japanese-style.

On the other hand, I love this. I think this mix is awesome. But I think Japanese people might feel it is just not as Asian. Maybe. Just my thought.

Or they just don't like Action-Adventure games as much as J-RPG?
