Don't really care. It's a valid business practice used everywhere. It was already common in anything soft- and hardware before it was applied to games. We should be glad that publisher didn't think of it earlier.
Edit: I just realized you are talking about Day 1 and not on disc DLC.
I'm actually a proponent of Day 1 DLC. I rarely buy DLC because it comes out long after I already moved on with the game. So I'd prefer it to be all Day 1.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
