I don't think so. I was replaying Trails in the Sky (psp) a couple of days ago and I coudn't take a screenshot. Don't know about ps1 though. Enabling screenshots would require a firmware update.
I wish Square would release Star ocean games on PSN and maybe Crisis Core sinc eI never finished it :( Somebody ask Shahid Lol
