Through the years as much as my consoles have evolved, so have the televisions I play them on.

Television 1: 13" SDTV (Birth-1998)

Consoles: Atari 2600, NES, SNES, and Sega Genesis

The first television I played on was a secondary unit as the main television was for watching shows.  It was a white cube with buttons on top for a total of 13 channels, of course all but channel 3 (games) were static.  Hard to believe I sat on th eground playing on something smaller than my computer monitor.

Television 2: 27" SDTV (1998-2003)

Consoles: Sony PS1 and Nintendo 64

The hand me down that we use to watch shows on became my gaming set up in 1998 and I was thrilled to play old games on the "big" set up and experience the new systems as well.

Television 3: 36" SDTV (2003-2008)

Consoles: Sony PS2, Nintendo Gamecube and Microsoft Xbox

My first television on my own and what I played at university with the new systems. I thought I was hot stuff having something so large compared to what I grew up with.

Television 4: 60" HDTV (2008-Present)

Consoles: Sony PS3, Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Xbox360 and Sony PS4

My big jump into high definition and for me the biggest jump in television quality. After making this jumjp I do think I could ever go back in quality or size. For gaming it really brought into focus the details now possible in textures.

So, how about you? What did you play on? What do you play on?
