A shooter isnt a panacea to a bad game.
Since we are at it... a risk would be to make a Legend of Dragoon 2 for PS4, or a Shemue 3. A 3rd person shooter is pretty safe aslong as its a decent game and doesnt get trashed by reviews.

That puzzles me actually. The basis of product development is to create a product that can be differentiated in the market. The fact that it is different is what gives it a good chance. Doing another military shooter would probably not work so well in a market saturated with CoD, MoH and Battlefield. Actually, the mistake of MoH was to try and be a CoD. If it had stuck to WW2, it would probably have suceeded.
