It's selling next to nothing in America (which can be seen in NPD), and nothing, be it a price cut, advertising, games etc. can change the public perception about the system there. It's similar in Europe as well, though maybe not quite as bad. The Vita will have some great games; I love my Vita; but expecting it to be a massive success (or even a moderate one) now it being somewhat optimistic. I'm fine enjoying the games on the system and not concerning about the sales. |
I disagree on the notion of games, I think a stronger library of software would quaduple its sales in NA and double them in the EU. Sony should be happy the Vita is selling at its current rate in the west considering its last relevant exclusive was in november 2013. Its software over here is the worst of any system in recent memory, the next biggest system seller is a 2 year old port in may. If it had stronger software it would not be selling 2K in NA and would not be below 10k in europe.
I still think software could make a nice difference but theres very little hope on the horizon other than Minecraft which may be popular amongst a younger, slightly more casual audience and the few japanese titles which may actually appeal to more then just a tiny niche (Freedom wars, over my dead body 2).
