I am not ignorant of Vita releases.  I would still say it has no games.  That's a huge list but most of those games have no appeal to me whatsoever.  Some people are simply not willing to continue to ignore HUGE gaps in the availability of appealing software.

Vita is great if you 4 kinds of games. 1)niche Japanese RPGS, 2)Monster Hunter clones, 3)Anime and visual novel stuff, 4) Ports from PS3 that didn't do terribly well in the first place(outside of Japan). In that case sure there are plenty of gamez. If you want non anime high quality 3d action titles there is practically nothing.  PS3 got 30 last year alone.  Vita got 7 and 3 or 4 of those were also on PS3.

Even when you start to mention digital plenty of people already have a PC with steam where I can get indies cheaper. I also owned a PSP and a PS1 already. What is there for me really?

That would be an ignorant statement. "It has no games that interest me" is completely different to "it has no games". However if you can't find a single game on Vita that appeals to your taste, you must have extremely specialist tastes.

Your 4 kinds of games all seem to come down to "Japanese" too. Which again, pretty ignorant. It might not be overflowing with them. But Vita has a very well rounded lineup, there is a decent example of pretty much every genre now on Vita. Some are far better represented than others but the Vita does have something in those categories that is worth playing even First Person Shooter and Third Person Shooters. Racing games and Sports games are also covered pretty well.

What you seem to be after is "high budget title" but budget doesn't have any baring on quality, if Killzone Merc etc aren't high enough budget for you to make them worthwhile, I would say handheld platforms aren't appropriate for your gaming tastes.
