Sony just doesn't know how to make a quality exclusive multiplayer experience.

I think you are a little delusional about who actually makes the games. "Sony" doesn't make games and neither does "Microsoft". You speak so highly of Halo and Gears of war because they were "made by Microsoft", but the physical people who made those games were Bungie and Epic - both of whom are now developing games for the PS4 as well.

So it really makes no sense to say, "Sony doesn't know how to make quality multiplayer experiences like MS does", because the actual developers of said games are studios that simply develop games for different platfroms based on exclusivity deals and  money.

Moreover, Sony doesn't need to spend money in this genre since, CoD, BF, Titanfall (from 2 onwards), Destiny etc. etc. will be on their console. If Sony thought it was a top-priority to  supplement their library with games like that then they'd focus much less on original experiences like Uncharted, Little Big Planet, Heavy Rain etc. People would muich rather have a plethora of genres and flavours available to them than buying 5 versions of the same genre every single year.

That is why gamers prefer PS over Xb, but you seem to think it's great that MS somehow trumps Sony because of this.

I agree.

Sony studios can create single player experiences far beyond the quality of third party games so it adds more value to the system than creating online focused games which still cant beat third party online games.

Having said that, the online modes on its games are still extremely good with LBP, uncharted and killzone a few examples.
