I've never liked the phrase "it's not a sprint, it's a marathon" used in this context. It's intended to mean that you shouldn't play all your cards at the start, but neither the X1 or PS4 have really played many cards at all :/ Certainly neither more than the other. So really they are both currently running a marathon, the PS4 is just doing it better :P
