You really think the PS4 & X1 will stay for 10-12 years?

yeah.At earliest i think 2022 we'd get a new console from them. Graphicly both XBO and PS4 is going to improve through new tools and optimizing them. As phil spencer said, think Perfect Dark Zero to Halo 4. That is pretty huge improvements and we will likely see that from both PS4 and XBO. Right now we are seeing poorly optimized games and a lot of cross gen ports. However there is some early gen games that are showcasing some untapped potential like Ryse: Son of Rome and InFamous. But do we really believe that is the best we are going to see? No way. XBO will be adding DX12 next year and who knows what PS4 is doing buit it is already capable of 1080p and 60fps pretty easily so it most likely just needs optimized more. Then you have the cloud whihc i predicted about a year ago to be something that grows this generation. I could see it being a factor that extends this gen with offloading some power to the cloud to improve graphics even further. Though we may be years off from this happening, it could very well happen.
In the end consoles will never be as powerful as PC and that is how things will be, but PC also isnt nearly as optimized. so while PC is improving on hardware, Devs are learning more and more about consoles while also improving on software making their own advancements. As i said of course PC will always be the most powerful but Consoles will improve in their own ways.
EDIT: Btw this was a reply to both people who quoted me xD

Of course there will be improvements but someday there is a limit which nobody can go beyond because another hardware is needed. For example GTA V was a great game but sometimes you could see it's all what last gen could do. And I don't think with the PC based hardware of the PS4 and Xbox One it will need so much time to reach the hardware limits because a lot of developers know how to deal with PC hardware and how to improve the games on it.
I don't hate Microsoft, I don't hate PC,
I don't prefer Sony, I don't prefer Nintendo.
...Ok, I love Nintendo but this is something about tolerance, ok?
I'm a gamer with one of the greatest hobbies and I want to share this greatness with everyone.
