@Final-Fan, do you know this interesting site?
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/browser.php?itemtype=game&sortby=rank&pageID=1
It lists 4358 board games from all over the world with descriptions & member rankings similar to VGChartz. Incredible list.
Going through some pages of this list reminded me of some more board games I own and/or played:
- Antike (light strategy, area control, civlization building)
- Medina (beautiful city building game)
- Yspahan (from French publisher Ystaire, clever mixture of economics and dice rolling)
- Altantic Star (card game, set collection, transportation)
- Bohnanza (very addictive card game, set collection, farming/negotiation)
- Shear Panic (Scottish game, looks like a kids game with its cute sheeps, but the gameplay is abstract strategy)
- Mah-Jongg (what a brilliant "card" classic, gameplay has of course nothing to do with Mah-Jongg video games)
