I haven't played many of the new games.... but I thoroughly enjoyed Ogre Battle 64.

Numbers: Checker Players > Halo Players

Checkers Age and replayability > Halo Age and replayability

Therefore, Checkers > Halo

So, Checkers is a better game than Halo.
