I can't argue with that, however this is not to that extreme.

When someone goes from saying the game is trash to 9/10 it's pretty obvious they changed their mind; they might even go on the record of saying how wrong they were in their first impression.

I haven't read the IGN review completely, but did they ever say "We thought it was worth the hype, but actually it's not?"

Let's just say that I stay the fuck away from previews these days for good reasons, they never really mean jack shit until the game ships or the final product is in my hands or HDD/SSD.
