I had previously given up on Spec Ops the Line FUBAR difficulty months ago when I got stuck at the start of chapter 5 when you are solo with no weapons to start after falling off from a building. Back when I quit I told myself I miiiight go back as I really hate giving up on games especially when I'm only 1 trophy away from platinum! So I decided to pick it up again this past week and I finally got past that infuriating checkpoint! Been slowly cruising along dying a handful of times here and there and I've just reached chapter 11 now. I know I still have a world of hurt in front of me with 4 more difficult chapters and 3 of the hardest checkpoints in the game. Not looking forward to the sunken boat in the desert in chapter 13, and pretty much all of chapter 14!
Has anyone else given up on getting Spec Ops platinum because FUBAR was too frustrating? Is my story encouraging you to go back and try again? lol. When I'm done it will be right up there with COD: World at War & COD: Classic as some of my toughest first person shooter plats. As far as tough FPS's go I think Killzone 2 would be my third hardest currently mainly because that Radec boss fight had me trying for possibly 10 hours or more.
