Look at the post I quoted and spot the baseless generalisation. Games like Super Mario 3D World are not technically average. When even Digital Foundry praises the game you know you're wrong.

Nintendo always makes some of the best looking games on their console. Not that it's hard for the Wii U considering its lack of third party support lol.

I've rarely encountered frame rate drops, screen tearing, glitches, or any other problems in Nintendo games. Can't say the same about my third party games.

DF praised Nintendo's performance, not it's graphics (in-fact, DF were the first to comment on Nintendo's lackluster use of edge detection AA). I believe I've said in previous threads that Nintendo's WiiU exclusives have the graphics of a 7th gen game, but the performance of an 8th gen one.

Graphics (filtering, shading, AA, polygon count), performance (general stability such as frame rate and screen tearing) and aesthetics (art style) are all separate pieces of the pie. Here i have been talking purely about graphics, nothing else.

If you wish to talk about aesthetics or performance stability, i'd have nothing but praise for Nintendo.
