Something interesting about Steam, statistics, games etc'.
http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2014/04/introducing-steam-gauge-ars-reveals-steams-most-popular-games/

Basically, 781 million games sold, only 37% played, 75 million active users, DOTA 2 is the most played and owned Steam game at 25 million units shifted.

That is some interesting data, some interesting tidbits I noticed that wasn't included in the article

Skyrim with 5.94m copies on Steam is roughly 30% of it's 20m total oficial shipped number as of January

Borderlands 2 surprisingly is at roughly 38% of it's 8.5m shipped as of Feb this year

I would have thought that Skyrim would have done better relativley on PC than BL2.

More people play League of Legends daily (27m) than DOTA2 has players total.

To be fair, those Skyrim numbers are higher than the PS3 totals tallied on VGChartz. (PS3 is sitting at 5.43 mil)

Still it solidifies the fact that PC gaming can be *very* competitive to the console platforms in copies of games sold, probably helps that games are generally cheaper so people buy more.
