You just seem to have been very vigourously pressing for a console that least suits his needs for someone that is advocating neither

if saying openly that neither one is worthwhile, but saying if he has to choose and has no morality over how much money other people spends, go for the one least likely to drop significantly in price, is vigourously advocating, then i dont even know what to say to you.

"Both those cars are shit, but if someday you plan on owning both the mazda is going to cost you less in the future", is hardly, "oh my god you HAVE to buy the nissan"
