So does the SIXAXIS just randomly turn on to drain battary life?

I think its a good thing Sony added these types of batteries in their controllers, other batteries pollute a lot, and dont last as much.

Lol, actually (off topic), Sony is the most "green" friendly between Sony, Nintendo, and MS.
