and thats because man utd have one of the biggest fanbases in the world, and Rooney is really the only respectable player in the team. if your stating that Rooney is more famous than Ronaldo or messi, then lol. thats no way to determine how famous a player is. its simply related to the fanbase of the team. and there is more to popularity than the fanbase of the team.
