Looking at your post history, I'd say a big game is anything that isn't indie, but you've obviously moved the goalposts since then. You can't compare the sales of Sony 1st party games with Nintendo 1st party games, especially on handhelds. Sony simply doesn't have the right IPs nor the install base. Soul Sacrifice Delta and Freedom Wars are high budget, high quality games which, for the Vita, have a fair amount of hype behind them. As Kresnik said, the budget for the both of these games should be around the same as the games you mentioned, excluding maybe Pokemon. I'm not saying that Sony are handling the Vita well at all, but aside from throwing a tonne of money at 3rd party developers to make a GTA or Final Fantasy game (something Nintendo hasn't done either), appealing to their current niche and trying to establish handheld IPs is the best Sony can offer in terms of your definition of "big" right now.

I honestly didn't know the WiiU and 3DS versions of SSB were different. Sounds like the Vita isn't the only handheld getting half-assed versions of console games then.

Yeah, making the two games have exclusive stages, modes, trophies and collectables is so half-assed.
