Of course it deserves it. Because it's a badass console.

I agree to a certain extent.
I don´t think that Vita software numbers prove that Vita owners are avid consumers, or more than anyone else. Right now Vita has just one million-seller with 8 million devices sold. By comparison, the struggling WiiU, with 6 million devices sold, already has six million-sellers.

Despite the lack of million sellers, the claim it sells software is well funded. CoD for Vita is a terrible game, but it outsolds easily the Wii U CoD that is the real deal. NFS: MW sold more on Vita than on Wii U (best console version) and Assassin's Creed was the same situation. Games like Street Fighter X Tekken had numbers surprinsingly close to the PS360 versions, even with the lower install base, MK got 0.5M even if it was a late port (probably outsold the PC version) and the Fifa games got between 0.3-0.5 each (outselling the 3DS versions easily). 3DS has a much larger install base, but most of it's million and multi-million sellers are either Nintendo games or Monster Hunter. A lot of 3rd party games that come to both actually sell more on Vita.
