I usually buy launch prices(which is now 70€ on PS4). That's because I usually only buy games that I'm really excited for and couldn't care less about price.
I don't think they are too expensive. They're luxury goods after all and are far from essential. There are so many free gaming alternatives so no one is forced to buy at high prices just to get his fix.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
