This just means you don't know about security. Saying openness and Vita together is so wrong. You can implement security with sd-cards, too, it doesn't automatically mean piracy on a system.

The thing is Sony uses their own memory solution which is

a) more expansive than similar or better (faster) sd-cards

b) can only be used with this system.

They have absolutely no advantage to users. Also proprietary solutions never prevented piracy. Look at PSP.


a)They are indeed more expensive, wich is a bother. But, you really dont need a huge one when Sony lets you transfer content between devices wirelessly, if you dont want to bother connecting the cable. Is it really such a fuss over 20 euros that will last you a generation? I really dont see it beeing any different than the PS2 and the PS1 was actually worse.

b) Why would you use them with anything else? Do you swap your 3DS card around devices?
