Isn't a ps3 release assumed based on the FFVII tech demos made for the ps3 in the past?

And don't most fans want a remake for a major graphical overhaul? Ps3 seems like the best platform to remake something from the ps1 era to me.

Going from ps1>DS/PSP makes little sense, and between the ps3 and Wii, the Wii would only make sense if they were focusing on control improvements moreso than graphics.

Imo, the ps3 is the most likely to get the port based on the tech demos and what the fanbase wants. After that would be the Wii, from a sales perspective, and because it's the second best avenue to provide the fanbase with what they want.

Actually it would be for money$$$$$$$$$$$ rather than graphics. They are trying to squeeze all they can out of old games. That isn't necessarily a bad thing either since you could use that money for new games.

Yeah, but the reason they sell so much is because the fanbase wants it. Would a remake sell as much as say Crisis Core if it looked barely better than the original, especially when the original could be bought and played on the PSP via the PSN?

I highly doubt it will ever show up on PSN.

As for what the fanbase wants.  It doesn't really matter.  The fanatics will buy it anywhere it is, and most other people will know better to avoid it.

There isn't enough of a remake crowd to make the game worth full PS3 overhall graphics in my opinion... besides it's going to be up agaisnt FF13 which is supposed to be "The next FF7."

The main character is a female clowd and the villian is described a lot like Sepiroth.  I just don't see a full remake being finacially viable.

The Tech demo was just that... a demo because they didn't want to show any new characters... what better people to put in then you best known characters?
