There is a reason why COD 4 was the best selling of the entire franchise and it might have had something to do with how high the QUALITY of the game was, something that would have suffered if they would have had to spend their time dealing with the Wii's hardware limitations and the burden of developing on a 4th platform. I hate to break all you Wii people's bubble, but porting a PS3/360 game to the Wii is not always possible, and can often severely reduce the game's quality overall. |
They could solve this by putting more people on each team... As well as COD4 has been selling I am sure they are more will to put more dev cost into it. Also if they use a control scheme similiar to MoHH2 it will be very fun on the Wii. No it is not always possible, and I think a game LIKE RE5 would fall under that cat.
You are probably right about RE5, but your general logic PO'ed me a bit. They should at least build a Wii Version from the ground up. It would surely sell MILLIONS. Maybe Resident Evil 4- Part 2 or something like that.
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
