Due to modern h.264 & h.265 compression techniques and dual layer blue ray technology, there will be no need to use two blue ray discs ever. 4k movie resolution may be the only reason for multiple blue rays. Or maybe some day lossless video.
Blue rays are also quite expensive compared to classic CD or DVD technology.
