Uncharted 3 didn't used in engine cutscenes and still shipped in one disc, with lots of space being used for frivolous things like having all languages on disc and tons of extras in 1080p. InFamous uses prerendered cutscenes and fits in one disc.

Actually, most games don't use real time cutscenes to allow the game to load the next stage while showing the video.


I think Infamous: Second Son is a good example of reusing the same things to reduce disk size (and of course reducing cost of production). The sides quests were just the same from start to finish. I like the game but i feel a bit cheated by the developers. I could see some more diversification. Same thing occurs with Assassin's Creed games.
