Atheism is a religion too.

Atheism can be many things but clearly its not a religion. For me atheism is about rejecting fantasy however appealing and accepting the hard reality of nature and evolution, not because I want to but because the evidence is compelling. Often atheism is portrayed by religious people as some sort of anger against god but of course no such anger exists because god is only a fictional fantasy figure to atheists. It would be like holding a grudge against the easter bunny.

Agreed.  Sam Harris said it well, actually:

“In fact, "atheism" is a term that should not even exist. No one ever needs to identify himself as a "non-astrologer" or a "non-alchemist." We do not have words for people who doubt that Elvis is still alive or that aliens have traversed the galaxy only to molest ranchers and their cattle. Atheism is nothing more than the noises reasonable people make in the presence of unjustified religious beliefs.”
