Part of his contract was that Atletico had to pay 5m euros (or some other big number I forgot) each game against Chelsea. Atletico's owner said that they can't afford to play him, but Uefa came to the rescue and told Chelsea that it was a bullshit clause.
I'm expecting a Chelsea vs Madrid final.
